Height: This perennial can grow from 3 to 7' tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist shade areas.
Foliage: Alternate green leaves have five lobes and toothed.
Flowers: Blue-violet to Purple flowers are hood like thus the name and they bloom July through August.
Natural Habitat: Found in Moist wooded areas and meadows.
Why is it good for my garden? Columbian monkshood is a great plant to add bright color to a wooded area. It is great for pollinators but it is poisonous for human to eat.
