Height: This perennial can grow to 3 ft. tall.

Habitat: Grows best in full to part sun in a dry to well drained area.

Foliage: Large, triangular, hairy, green leaves.

Flowers: Large sunflower like yellow flowers bloom March though July.

Natural Habitat: Found in prairies, open slopes and forest edges west of the Cascades.
