Height: This herbaceous perennial can grow 1 to 4 feet tall.
Habitat: Grows best in wet to moist soil in full to part shade.
Foliage: Long slender green leaves
Flowers: Round purple flowers with yellow centers bloom July through September.
Natural Habitat: Found in mountain streams and swamps on both sides of the mountains.
Why is it good for my garden? Purple flowers provide a beautiful addition to moist flower gardens and attract pollinators.
