Height: This evergreen clumping sedge can grow 1.5 to 2 ft tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist soil and full to part sun.
Foliage: Slender leaves that clump.
Flowers (Inflorescence): Green to brown spikes will bloom April through June.
Fruits: This sedge produces seeds.
Natural Habitat: Found in swamps or bogs and most wet places.
Why is it good for my garden? The dense sedge is great for stabilizing your soil in wet areas. Seeds are eaten ne birs so will attract wildlife to your garden.
