Height: This perennial sedge can grow to 4 ft. tall in loose clumps.
Habitat: Grows best in moist soil and full to part sun.
Foliage: Soft green leaves extend out of triangular shaped stem at base.
Flowers (Inflorescence): 2 to 8 flower spikes grow out of base. The flowers are loose and small, and are green to brown in color.
Fruits: This sedge produces seeds.
Natural Habitat: Found in wooded or partially shaded wetlands.
Why is it good for my garden? The Dewey's sedge is a nice soft textured sedge that grows in clumps in wet areas.
