Habitat: Grows well in well drained to try soil in a sunny area.
Foliage: Clumping thin green blades.
Flowers (Inflorescence): Dense green flower spikes grow upright on a hollow stock and turn brown with age.
Fruits: This sedge produces seed.
Natural Habitat: Found at the edge of forest and in grasslands.
Why is it good for my garden? This dense clumping sedge grows well in dryer areas and can be a good background for a flower garden.
