Height: This deciduous shrub grows for 3 to 10 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in dry to well drained soil from full to part sun.
Foliage: Alternate, dark green, oval shaped leaves.
Flowers: Dense clusters of little white flowers bloom May through July.
Bark: Reddish or purple bark.
Natural Habitat: Found in moist to dry open forest to thickets.
Why is it good for my garden? The beautiful white flower clusters and red stems of these plants make them a nice shrub to add to any garden. They are also a nitrogen fixer for your soil. Attracts pollinators.
