Height: This deciduous spreading shrub can grow form 15 to 18 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist soils in full to part sun.
Foliage: Opposite oval shaped green leaves that turn bright red in fall.
Flowers: Small white flowers form flat topped clusters.
Fruits: Umbrella shaped clusters of small white berries.
Bark: Bright red new growth bark.
Natural Habitat: Found in a wide range of moist open areas.
Why is it good for my garden? This is a great shrub for moist areas with year round interest. White flowers in spring, white berries in summer, bright red fall color, and bright red stems all winter.
