Height: This grass grows 2 to 3 ft. tall.

Habitat: Grows best in full sun in a well drained to moist area.

Foliage: Flat green blades with hair on it.

Flowers (Inflorescence): Brown flowers bloom April through August.

Natural Habitat: Found in open grassy areas to rocky mountain ridges.

Why is it good for my garden? This grass can tolerate heavy foot traffic so can be used as a ground cover or non native grass replacement. Attracts pollinators.
