Habitat: Grows best in full sun and well drained soil.
Foliage: Oblong, narrow, green, segmented leaves.
Flowers: Deep purple-blue flower that looks like a cone with 5 petals bloom April through July.
Natural Habitat: Coastal meadows to moist forest meadows.
