Height: This perennial that is a bulb can grow up to 2 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Short lance shaped blades grow from bulb.
Flowers: Ball shaped clusters of purple flowers form at end of stock in May through June.
Fruits: Small oval capsule of seed.
Natural Habitat: Found near the Pacific coast to grassy meadows.
Why is it good for my garden? Great bulb to mix with other bulbs or add to a rock garden in clusters for color. Brings in pollinators like bees and butterflies.
