Height: This perennial can grow from 6 to 8 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil, full to part sun areas.
Foliage: Two oblong, thick, green leaves grow from base.
Flowers: Six petal, white with yellow centered flower grows out of a stock and opens facing the ground with the petals curling up wards. Blooms March through May.
Natural Habitat: Found at snow line. This one photographed at Artist Point on Mt Baker Ski Area.
Why is it good for my garden? This pretty perennial that grows from a bulb is a great splash of color to many areas. Bees like this perennial.
