Height: This perennial that grows from a bulb can get to 1 foot tall.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained to dry soil and full to part sun.
Foliage: Green lance shaped leaves come out of the base of the plant.
Flowers: Yellow bell shaped flowers open towards the ground in March through June.
Natural Habitat: Found mostly on the east side of the mountains in dry areas and forests.
Why is it good for my garden? Pretty little flowering bulb that adds great color to any area. These were harvested for food in the past.
