Height: This plant grows mainly along the ground but the flower spike can reach up to 1 foot tall.
Habitat: Grows best in dry to moist soil in shade to dappled shade.
Foliage: Spectacular dark green with white variegated, veined design that looks like a snake skin form along the ground..
Flowers: Green stock has many small white orchid flowers on it blooming June though August.
Natural Habitat: Found in dry to moist forests. Locally found along some of the trails on Galbraith Mountain. This plant is having a hard time surviving these days and it is illegal to harvest from nature so when you do see this only take photos and hope that it will spread and one day we may be able to have some in our gardens.
Why is it good for my garden? This plant is hard to propogate so to find some to sell is hard. If you have this in your yard cherish it because not everyone can have one. We hope that one day this plant will not have such a struggle and we will be able to enjoy it in nature and maybe be able to propagate it in nurseries so we all will be able to have some in our yards. What a beautiful plant.
