Height: This deciduous fern ground cover can grows to about 10 inches tall and up to 6 ft. wide.
Habitat: Grows in moist humus rich soil in shade. Can grow in sandy or clay soil. Drought tolerant.
Foliage: Delicate bright green fronds form a dense ground cover. Fronds come out in opposite pairs and are triangular in shape and toothed.
Natural Habitat: Found in moist areas along stream banks in woods.
Why is it good for my garden? This fern is a beautiful feathery green addition to a shady part of your garden. Great for a ground cover in full shade.
