Height: This perennial grass that spreads by rhizomes (through the root system underground) and can grow to 2 feet tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist soil and full to part sun.
Foliage: Leaves have are aromatic. These leaves will fan out away from flower spike.
Flowers (Inflorescence): Green spikes extend upward from bace and dangle. Bloom May to June.
Fruits: This grass produces seeds.
Natural Habitat: Found in most wet places.
Why is it good for my garden? The hairy sweetgrass is great for a wet areas. Seeds are eaten by birds so it will attract wildlife to your garden. Used spiritually.
