Height: This grass is a tufted rush with short rhizomes that can grow to 6 ft tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to wet soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Blades are circular and come from a circular clump or rhizomes.
Flowers (Inflorescence): Light brown to yellow flowers grow right out of blades in clusters.
Fruits: Yellow to brown three sided seed packs.
Natural Habitat: Found in wet areas from the coast to the mountains.
Why is it good for my garden? Great for wetland areas and small, native animals like salamanders and frogs (riparian).
