Height: This grass called a rush can grow to 2 ft. tall
Habitat: Grows best saturated in winter and dry in the summer areas with full to part sun.
Foliage: Round, thin, narrow, bright green blades.
Flowers (Inflorescence): This flower is quite open compared to all the rest of the rush. Brown to greenish brown and bloom in June though September.
Fruits: Oval shaped seed pack have many small seeds in them.
Natural Habitat: Found in most moist places.
Why is it good for my garden? This rush can be used as a non native sod replacement. It is drought tolerant, had pretty flowers that can be used in dried arrangements, and brings in pollinators.
