Height: This rhizomatous perennial can grow from 4 to 12 inches tall
Habitat: Grows best in moist to wet soil in full to part shade.
Foliage: Heart shaped, veined, shiny, green leaves.
Flowers: Small, white, star shaped, fragrant flowers form a bottle brush flower spike. Blooms May to June.
Fruits: Red, round berries.
Natural Habitat: Found in shady moist areas, open forests.
Why is it good for my garden? False lily of the valley is a great ground cover for a moist shady area. Spreads pretty quickly after it is established. Brings in pollinators and birds.
