Height: This rhizomatous perennial can grow from 1 to 3 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to dry soil in part shade.
Foliage: Alternate, large, oblong to lance shaped, bright green leaves.
Flowers: Small white flowers form in a plume on long flower stocks and bloom April to July.
Fruits: Round, red berries form after flowers fade.
Natural Habitat: Found in woodlands, forest, and moist meadows.
