Height: This deciduous shrub can grow from 10 to 15 ft. tall and is thicket forming.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil in full sun to full shade.
Foliage: Alternate, oval shaped pointed green leaves that are hairy.
Flowers: Small bell shaped pink to orange flowers hang down and bloom April to June.
Fruits: Small seed pack.
Bark: Thin, scaly, brown bark.
Natural Habitat: Found in the understory of forests.
Why is it good for my garden? This is a great shrub for deep shade.
