Habitat: Grows best in moist to dry soil and full sun. Tolerates salt spray.
Foliage: Alternate glossy, dark green, fragrant leaves.
Flowers: Yellow flowers bloom April and May.
Fruits: Waxy purple to blue fruit.
Bark: Brown bark.
Natural Habitat: Found from sandy areas to the hills.
