Height: This rhizomatous perennial ground cover can grow 2 to 6 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to dry soil in part shade.
Foliage: Three, green, heart shaped leaflets form the leaves that is purple on the underside of the leaf.
Flowers: Large, white, 5 petal, flowers that have purple or red veining and bloom April through September.
Natural Habitat: Found in moist woods.
Why is it good for my garden? Wood Sorrel is a favorite among ground covers because of its heart shaped leaves and pretty little flowers. This will bring in pollinators. The flower and leaves can be eaten fresh or cooked and are delicious on salads.
