Height: This perennial can grow to 18 inches tall.

Habitat: Grows best in dry to well drained soil in full to part sun.

Foliage: Bluish green leaves.

Flowers: Dark maroon with yellow center flowers bloom April through June.

Natural Habitat: Found in open areas and slopes.
