Height: This perennial can grow from 1 to 2 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in a dry to well drained soil in full sun.
Foliage: Opposite, long oval shaped, dark green, leaves.
Flowers: Trumpet shaped, purple to pink and sometimes yellow and white flowers form in several clusters along a flower stock. Bloom June through August.
Natural Habitat: Commonly found in open slopes, meadow, wooded areas.
Why is it good for my garden? Taper-leaved penstemon is a great plant for pollinators and a pretty color to add to your garden.
