Height: This perennial can grow to 1 foot tall.

Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil in full to part sun.

Foliage: Opposite, lance shaped, green leaves.

Flowers: Bright purple to blue purple trumpet shaped flowers that bloom May through July.

Natural Habitat: Found in open areas and slopes.

Why is it good for my garden? Cardwell's penstemon is a nice compact splash of color for your garden that will bring in pollinators.
