Height: This perennial can grow from 2 to 4 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Opposite, thick, oval, green leaves.
Flowers: Trumpet shaped blue purple flowers bloom May through August.
Natural Habitat: Found in open woods in the mountains.
Why is it good for my garden? Broadleaf penstemon is a great splash of color for any yard and bring in hummingbirds and pollinators.
