Height: This perennial can grow from 8 to 28 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in a moist to dry soil in full sun to part shade.
Foliage: Opposite, long lance shaped, thick, dark green, leaves that are sparse on the stock with a whirl of them at the base in a pattern called rosette.
Flowers: Trumpet or tube shaped, purple to lavender flowers form in clusters and flower May to August.
Natural Habitat: Commonly found in moist meadows and foothills.
Why is it good for my garden? Meadow penstemon is a great plant for moister areas that you would like lots of color and will bring in all sorts of pollinators.
