Height: This rhizomatous, fern can grow from 1 to 4 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full to part shade.
Foliage: Large, delicate, triangular, many lobed green fronds.
Natural Habitat: Found in moist to dry areas along woods..
Why is it good for my garden? Western bracken fern is great fern to let take over a difficult part of your yard. Fast growing, tall, dies back in winter. New fiddle heads are edible.
