Height: This rhizomatous, deciduous, shrub can grow from 3 to 8 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to dry soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Oval, pointed, toothed, green leaves.
Flowers: Light pink, fragrant, 5 petaled flowers grow in clusters and bloom May through July.
Fruits: Bright red, pear shaped rose hips.
Bark: Dark brown bark with thorns.
Natural Habitat: Grows in moist meadows to forests.
