Height: This multi stemmed deciduous shrub can grow from 15 - 20 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in wet to moist soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Lance to oval shaped, lightly toothed, green leaves.
Flowers: Hairy catkins, can be yellow bloom March to April.
Bark: Light brown to cinnamon brown smooth bark.
Natural Habitat: Found in moist swampy areas.
Why is it good for my garden? Coastal willow is a great plant for a wet area because it can hold in the soil and prevent erosion.
