Height: This perennial can grow from 6 to 16 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in wet to well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Narrow, lance shape leaves look like grass or small iris leaves.
Flowers: Bright yellow, 6 petaled flower blooms March through November.
Fruits: Oval, 3 sided, seed pods.
Natural Habitat: Found in wet ground around bogs and stream banks.
Why is it good for my garden? Yellow eyed grass is a easy to grow, bright flower to add to your garden. Great to put in clumps or have as a short border plant. Attracts pollinators.
