Native wildflower up to 2 ft tall. Iris-like leaves and beautiful blue flowers. Likes early spring moisture.High moisture, full to partial sun.
Height: This perennial can grow from 6 to 16 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Long, lance shaped green leaves look like grass or iris leaves.
Flowers: Blue, 6 pointed petaled flowers with yellow centers bloom April through July.
Fruits: Oval shaped seed pots.
Natural Habitat: Found in wet marshy areas.
Why is it good for my garden? Blue-eyed grass is a fun plant to fill in areas or have as a short border. Attract pollinators.
