Height: This deciduous, multi stemmed shrub can grow from 8 to 15 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full sun.
Foliage: Oblong to lance shaped, toothed, veined, green leaves that turn bright colors of yellow orange and red in fall.
Flowers: Small, cream colored, 5 petaled flowers grow together in an dense umbrella shape and bloom May though August.
Fruits: Orange to red, round fruit grow in hanging cluster.
Bark: Gray bark turns to a red brown bark with age.
Natural Habitat: Found in open areas.
Why is it good for my garden? This shrub is a pretty plant to add to your garden. Grows slow at first but once established fast growing. Enjoyed by lots of wildlife and pollinators.
