Symphoricarpos albus - Common Snowberry

Product Details

Height: This rhizomatous, deciduous, shrub can grow from 2 to 8 ft. tall.

Habitat: Grows best in moist to dry soil in full to part sun.

Foliage: Opposite, round to oval shaped, lightly toothed, green leaves.

Flowers: Small white to light pink bell shaped flowers form in clusters and bloom May though August.

Fruits: White, waxy, round berries form in August or after flower fades and can last all winter.

Bark: Greenish brown to brown bark.

Natural Habitat: Found in thickest and along forest edges.

Why is it good for my garden? Snowberry is not just a pretty shrub to have but can also help with erosion control in areas. Grows good in all types of soil even clay. Habitat for wildlife and birds like the Pacific-slope Flycatcher.
