Height: This rhizomatous, perennial can grow 1 to 3 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Long, lance shaped, toothed, green leaves.
Flowers: Purple to purple blue daisy like flower with orange to yellow center blooms July through September.
Natural Habitat: Found along moist wood, stream banks, and shore lines.
Why is it good for my garden? Douglas aster is a great flower to add to your flower garden for some great fall flower color. Long lasting flowers attract pollinators.
