Height: This deciduous shrub can grow to 3 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Alternate, oblong, pointed, bright green leaves turn bright orange to red in fall.
Flowers: Small white to yellowish pink bell shape flower bloom May through July.
Fruits: Black to purple, round, edible berries.
Bark: Yellow green bark turns to a gray brown color with age.
Natural Habitat: Found in conifer forests.
Why is it good for my garden? Thin-leafed huckleberry has a great shape, good fall color, and delicious berries. This plant will attract pollinators and wildlife.
