Height: This deciduous shrub can grow to 2 ft. tall.
Habitat: Grows best in wet to well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Alternate, oblong, pointed, green leaves turn bright orange to red in fall.
Flowers: Small white to pink bell shape flower bloom June through August.
Fruits: Black, edible berries.
Bark: Green bark turns to a gray brown color with age.
Natural Habitat: Found in bogs.
Why is it good for my garden? Thin-leafed huckleberry has a great shape, good fall color, and delicious berries. This plant will attract pollinators and wildlife.
