Height: This perennial can grow from 2 to 12 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in moist to wet soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Opposite lance shaped, toothed dark green leaves with purple hue at times.
Flowers: Small purple, 4 petaled flowers bloom May though August.
Natural Habitat: Found in wet areas and ditches.
Why is it good for my garden? American speedwell is a delicate little plant that looks similar to forget me not flowers that grows well in super wet conditions.
