Native perennial from thick rhizomes, to 9in. tall. Small white flowers. Prefers part sun, moist soil. Wet forests and bogs.
Height: This rhizomatous, perennial can grow from 6 to 9 inches tall.
Habitat: Grows best in wet to well drained soil in full to part sun.
Foliage: Oval to heart shaped, small, thin, veined, green leaves.
Flowers: White to light purple flowers with purple veins bloom May though July.
Fruits: Three sided, oval shaped seed pack.
Natural Habitat: Wetlands to moist meadows and open forests.
Why is it good for my garden? This violet is a great ground cover for a wet area in your yard. Pretty little leaves and white flowers. Attracts pollinators.
